gauging interest 86' Brat

It hate to do this but I need to decide what I am going to do with my Brat. It has been a very good truck to me but it has some rust and it kills me to see it get worse. It could be restored but it would need some serious rust repair underneath. I cannot do it myself and Im not sure if its practical for me to pay someone to do it while I have many other projects I should be funding. I bought it off Gabe (Subarude) a couple years ago, I have not done any of the modifications on it. It has a 3" lift, 5 lug conversion (fits chevy toyota etc...) rear disc brakes off a turbo loyale i think, push bar on the front, I have a roll bar for the bed, cap (fugly as hell) and a bunch of spare parts. The exhuast is leaky and ghetto looking, the rockers are f'd, tailgate is removed. It runs well but it currently wont start because its not getting any power from the battery:idk:

It is some sorta blown fuse or bad connection somewhere but I haven't tired very hard to figure it out. It ran excellent prior to that issue. I would love if someone on here bought it and restored it to the be the awesome truck it should be. I told myself i would never get rid of it but it seems beyond my capibilitys and its a shame to let it get worse. Im not sure what its worth but im not desperate enough to accept lowball offers, but I also understand its a rusty 86 Brat too

um.... I would probsbly get it running and use it as an around town beater but I am seriously lusting after that car...

Whatcha got in mind for $$$$? R U interested in some type of trade? I always have neato things around including some crazzzeeeee audi/video I am about to extract from my STi... ( I always got stuff in my garage and depending on the day am willing to trade the wife...pixx provided on request)

I have lusted after a brat for many years now... (sighs) had to settle for my 06 STi... & NO... we cant trade the Brat for my STi...

Someone is selling a POS rusted to hell one up in Moosehead. They want like a grand for it though, and in the pictures it looked completely worthless to me borderline unfixable. This one though, looks amazing. Like the others have said what kind of money are you looking to get. Brats are getting tough to find...and every time one seems to come up I cant get it. :-(

 
Im not sure what its value really is, similar brats on ebay fetch around a grand, but this one needs work and has a issue with getting power. I guess i'll start at $800 obo but im also willing to accept trades for anything of similar coolness

The seats didn't come in the Brats after 85, so unless someone put them in, it won't have them. I have a set in my 86 that I added last fall

 
have you check the fuseable links just by the battery usaully one of those is the cause of it and yes i gave him the jump seats with it

 
damm U people... this brat will B gone by the time I get back from vacation.....

I'll bring U with my to Cedar Point park for the holiday weekend (roll out beds are only an additional ten bucks a night).... U get to help me deal wtih my b**** of a wife.....great eye candy but damm dude dont piss her off... she punches like a mule kicks....guess that's what U get for marrying someone U met at MMA class...

Define "similar coolness" as for as a trade is concerend.... I have some parts, misc. stuff , children who work really hard in the yard..... About the only thing I wont part with is my Pappillion, guitars or cars....

I haven't looked too close, im a little scared of the mess of wires surrounding the aftermarket coilpack, there are some random harnesses unhooked but I think they are for the fogs I took off

I got the electrical issue resolved, it was just a disconnected wire as suspected. Bratman is gonna buy the rollbar and pushbar. I dont really want to sell this thing, but I am am a realistic person and i could be talked into parting with it if somone promised to restore it and have fun with it.

I would fix it just to sell again. I went through this with an 87 wagon, a lot of repairs. this needing something seems trivial. One would think someone could buy and repair...

I am seeking another wagon, else, i dive into bratness.
