just wanted to show off what UPS brought me today. I got these Hankook 175/65/15 medium compund 203 gravel tires used from NC Rally team (they race a subaru, and were at the X-games) Got a great bargain and they havce a ton of tread!!

No good till temps warm up, but they should be very fun this season

Lucky bugger!

How did you find them?

I've been eyeballs deep into tire sizes, ratios, and so on for my wagon... And that's an interesting size. Basicly the same exact over all diameter of my 185/75/13

But i'm looking to throw some 15"ers on her and get some real tires. Not an easy or cheap task I have to say.

Good stuff.

I've been looking into getting some silverstone rally muds to replace my worn out yoko A034's.

Jim, I wasn't searching for these tires by size. I knew i wanted used gravel tires in 15" (what they all are) that are designed for AWD. I spotted an ad on the specialstage.com classifieds and ended up with these. I think the narrower tire will do better than a 205 width since I'm rockin' 165 hp and not in a wrx.

With how chewed up rallycross courses get, a narrow tire isn't such a bad idea. It will work on the same principal as a narrow snow tire. It'll chew down to the harder surface under all the crud easier.

specialstage.com you say? hmm. I'll have to check that out.

Since that last post, I think I've come to grips with my beater, and I'm just going to throw cheap tires on the 13"s... I had big dreams, but i had to realize i have more important things to spend money on I guess.

Plus, its hard to justify throwing money into a 25 year old GL and pray that it lasts a couple years of off roading and road trips
