Grounding parking brake wire

Hey guys, I know this is illegal but I just bought a kenwood in-dash DVD receiver and I want my son to be able watch movies while we are traveling. I have been told I need to bypass the parking brake wire by grounding it by either splicing it into the receiver harness or somewhere else. Any info will help! Thanks, Chris

The wire should be labeled on the back of the unit or the harness.  You will just need to put that between a switch and chassis ground.

2005 LGT's suck.
What jamey said, we used a toggle switch in my buddy's Sentra, seemed to work pretty well.

I used an extra relay I had lying around and hooked it up using that. It worked just fine. Some of the newer ones require that there is no ground when the receiver comes on to eliminate the permanent grounding fix. A switch or a relay like I used would work.

EDIT: Which is exactly what Chris linked you to.
