Head snapped off ball joint pinch bolt (aka fun w/ rust)

Is it better to drill out the old bolt or to get new/used spindle?
Drilling out the old (grade 8?) bolt would need a cobalt bit & a good chunk of time vs sourcing a spindle
Anyone had this type of fun that could share what they did?

then never-sieze the beejeebus out of the one you put back together and don't over-torque pinch bolt. also BTDT!!

I've got one that was drilled out and bolted through on my car now.

I've also drilled and retapped the hole.

Those pinch bolts are made of cheese

Those damn things... drill it out and put a bolt all the way through like Dan mentioned.  Make sure to cut out the middle so it can still pinch
