Hi guys.  New to the forums.  New to turbo subies.  Im pretty sure I know several of you from FB and autocross.  Picked up an Outback XT a couple weeks ago to eventually replace the wife's 2.5i Limited.  Spun a bearing 70 miles later.  Looks like the mods are coming sooner than later.  Starting with a clean slate, so its going to be a fun time.  Im a suby noob, so bare with me

I would start with a brand new sti shortblock they can be had online for around $1800 shipped from the dealer

 
That is the plan.  Ive got a fairly long list together of everything that is going to happen to get it on the road.  Im concerned about the heads, though.  Hoping the journals and cams are not too bad.
