yep, it's that "be sure to line up the gaps" bit that's key
good way to make it all go easier is to run a strip of masking tape across old door and onto adjacent body panels. run tape right under the plastic trim strip. do same thing on new door, run tape under trim strip.
unbolt old door, unplug wiring, then go out back and smash old door all to hell (this is the fun part)
bolt on new door and use the tape strips to gauge initial panel gap alignment (also align hinges on chassis side over paint gaps on new door hinges). if u are lucky, new door will fit and latch fine, if not you'll have to fiddle with it a bit.
