How can I close the sunroof without having to press/release, press/release, press/release the sunroof button. This is really a jacka$$ way of having to do it. I found out how to unlock ALL the doors with one touch of the key fob, but I can't find an answer to the sunroof problem. Thanks for any and all info you can give me. savoo

it is my understanding, that this is a much researched feature, that very few people are happy with. its a pain in the arse, and it just makes you go"why the hell would they do that??"
short answer is, no, i dont know of any mod that allows you to bypass this feature. there is no simple wire to cut, like the door bell disable, etc, etc. . .
here is a wiring diagram from an 06 wrx, which i believe would be similar. looks like the two click close feature is built in to the control module.
if anybody can find a loophole, be my hero.

Some of the factory sunroof equiped Subarus came with a allen wrench in the spare tire tool kit. Grab that wrench, find the plug in the head liner that aligns with where the motor is. Pop the plug out and manually crank the sunroof closed with the allen wrench. On the foresters with the huge roof the motor is near the back. On some Legos it above the map lights. Some outbacks its also at the rear of the roof track like the forester, but some had the Lego style.
