Kinect for xbox

I just picked up a kinect and new xbox yesterday, as my (5th)Elite xbox crapped out with the red ring finally.

Hopefully the new xbox is going to be more reliable, as I was getting sick of sending mine in for repair.

The Kinect:

AWESOME.

I played it for about 2hrs last night, and had to stop(cuz I'm fat). It was so much fun!!! It uses a 3d camera and real motion capture to pinpoint your body's location and movement. It tracks your joints in your body 30 times a second. No controller.. just move your hands, arms, legs, head... it also has voice recognition, which I set up and it works amazingly well! All menu functions can be done by voice commands. Pretty cool stuff!

Anyone else have one?

Im glad you think its fun cause my gf just bought one for us a few days ago but I haven't had a chance to even open it yet. She bought some dance game for it too.

We got one a few days ago and are returning it. Just not enough room in our living room without moving stuff around everytime you want to use it and that's no fun. Once you get it going with enough space its pretty fun. Ill wait until some better games come out before buying another.
