I have a feeling the pilot is looking for a new career. I bet the owner of the jet wasn't real happy. That what happened to you AV8R? :-[

That is Bader field in Atlantic city. It's only 2900 feet long. I dunno, I might want to land at the 9000 foot runway that's only EIGHT miles away at Atlantic city international

There are three useless things in aviation:

The runway behind you

The airspace above you

and a male flight attendant

Oh yeah...Jeff..... you're an ASS

That strip did look kind of unkept. Why would they land there? And why were the engines still going when no one (hopefully) was on the aircraft? I was hoping for full water injestion befor it gained any more speed.

i used to work at the portland jetport years back, and saw some pretty crazy stuff, but nothing like that. and he landed on the totaly wrong runway, you always land into the wind, it helps bring down your land speed while bringing up your airspeed. as for the engines, they probaly stalled before it went into the drink, and some planes have a system that will relight a engine if it goes out. as for the water being ingested, those engine are designed to run while injesting pretty substantial water, you won't want one to stall out just cause it's raining! still pretty crazy though!

Lets see.....

He had practically no headwind

The runway is in decent shape but it's marginal length for that aircraft

He was wayyy to fast for the lenghth of the runway he had to land on.

or maybe its that.................

He's a complete DUMBASS for not taking a runway that's a two minute longer flight so he could be closer to downtown Atlantic city. The runway at ACY (atlantic city international) is nine thousand feet long

Bader field is about a mile from downtown Atlantic city,

Instead of saving himself the $20 extra cabfare, he spent around 2 million on a wrecked jet/dingy

after he wrecks, he forgets to do a proper evacuation

1)shut down motors

2)kill battery power

3)get the fudge out

and why are these dorks filming the whole incodent? Its like they knew something was up yet they weren't much help once it went into the drink.

It sure did float well.
