Alright fellow Mainers and Subaru enthusiasts, it's almost Movember! :)

For those that don't know, Movember is the month previously known as November.

A fund-raising event that has origins in Australia, Movember was conceived as a fund-raising event for men's cancers, specifically prostate and testicular cancers.

The Last Ditch Racing crew has set up a team that we've invited everyone to join to help us raise some money for men's cancer research.

If you're up for the challenge, head to http://www.movember.com and search for Last Ditch Racing and join up! :)

Oh yeah-what do you need to do to participate?! Start 11/1 with a clean shaven face and then grow a mustache for the entire month. All the rules are on the Movember website. No beards or goatees. :)

Let's get farming mustaches for men's health! :)

Hi,

I have decided to join a global movement that is bringing much needed attention to cancers that affect men. I’m doing this by growing a Moustache this Movember, the month formerly known as November. My commitment is to grow a moustache all November to change the face of men’s health and I want you to join me.

The funds we raise during our Moustache journey go to the Prostate Cancer Foundation and the Lance Armstrong Foundation (LIVESTRONG).

What many people don’t know is that 1 in 6 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime and that testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 18-35. Facts like these have convinced me I should get involved.

Once registered you’ll be sent all the information needed to get donations and get growing as part of my Movember team.

Amen Mike! ;-) Nate, I'd prefer a beard because I'd be less conspicuous. BUT, the purpose of Movember is to have people ask you WTF you're doing with that caterpillar on your lip or that sweet '70's biker mustache so you can explain to them the deal behind Movember. :)

Not likely to get any questions with a beard in Maine in the fall. You'll like 95% of the guys in the state! ;-)

Movember is well underway, and the LDR team has 12 or so members at this point! :) Thanks to all those who have joined and are growing their Mo's! :)

For those that haven't joined, please feel free to join up-it's never too late! :) If you don't/can't/won't grow a Mo, don't feel bad. You can stop by our team page and donate to the cause! :)

Movember is all about Men's cancers: breast, testicular and prostate. Half the money raised will go to the Livestrong Foundation and half will go to Movember global.

Hey everyone! Movember 8th and the LDR Movember team is doing their best to grow their Mo's to help change the face of Men's cancer!

I've updated my Facebook profile pic as well as my Movember member page to reflect the current Mo status. I'm sure other team members will be doing the same shortly.

Movember coming to an end and Mo's are growing on team Last Ditch Racing! :) Thanks to all who've donated to the team to help fight men's cancers.

If you can spare a buck, please consider donating! :)

Doing a charity bike ride Thanksgiving morning at the gym here in Bangor to raise some more money.

Will also be keeping my Mo until we're racing in MO at the 100 AW rally in February! "MO's 'til MO!" ;-)
