selling this for my lady friend.
http://maine.craigsl...3433963038.html
2000 VW GTI GLX.
5 spd, VR6. 130k Mi.
Flash red exterior, black leather interior.
$2700 obro
New (used) 12v vr6 motor was installed as of oct 2012. Mechanic said head gasket was recently replaced. New starter installed at the same time.
Rear brakes were just done (ceramics), power steering pump was just replaced, as was the coil pack. Wires and plugs are recent. I've only had it on the road for about a month. I am waiting on the title, which is still in the mail.
Car is not perfect cosmetically, but has very little rust.
The good:
New rear brakes (ceramics)
New power steering pump
New coil pack + plugs/wires
New spark plugs
Brand new timing chains installed
New starter
Aftermarket forza exhaust
Almost brand new stainless headers
Recent inspection sticker from October of this year.
Traction control
Aftermarket mp3 stereo w/ iPod storage
GTI 20th Anniv. badgeless hatch and spoiler, black.
Working heated leather seats.
Comes with a brand new badgeless grille, black, never installed.
The bad:
Small dent in fender (pictured)
The sun roof is jammed, but is shut.
It needs a heater core replacement; there is no heat. Core is currently bypassed.
Hood latches, and latches securely, but is pushed in, therefore grille is off of the car.
Check engine light is on, and this is why: The secondary air pump is bad. I have one that comes with the car, but I haven't had the time/patience to install it. Light goes on and off.
Title says "water damage." The guy I bought it from says the glass from the original hatch was broken, and water got in, thus the new hatch. I've checked and this does not prevent insurance coverage (car is currently registered/inspected/insured).
