My nuts are too shiny!

Lug nuts that is...

I had to buy some ricer lug nuts to fit my new rims. The only ones I could find in the right size are super mega chrome.

Now what is the best way to get these black? Spray paint will scrape off too easy and look shitty.

Any other ideas? Please keep in mind it has to be fairly easy as I have to do it 20 times.

Get some Rays duraluminum nuts, they weigh zip, and are available in many sizes. They're about $130 a set.

$130 is way more then I'd want to spend for nuts. Considering the rims and tires were only $300.

The black "tuner" lugs I have always used are $39 shipped.

since they're close to the axis of rotation the weight difference doesn't matter that much. for rotational mass, the effect of weight is exponentially proportional to the distance from the axis of rotation. the difference of a few ounces is negligible.

i bet ralli would coat them a lot cheaper than the $39 trevor paid for his set, but its also easier to just buy a second set on ebay.

yeah, and the GT Spec headers i just bought. pretty nice actually.

remember, 'ebay' isn't a brand. people sell things on ebay. you can buy anything from volks or better, down to primaxx and worse wheels on there.

aren't these the lug nuts you got stixxx?

and on ebay nonetheless? and $10 cheaper?

personally i'd get the ones trevor posted. they're black and steel, which is a raisin ton stronger than aluminum. for something that holds the wheels on your car, i would say go for the strongest material possible. the ones on my car are coated heat treated steel.
