Refilling coolant on turbo engine is a 3 step job. Fill rad to air drain hole, then top filler hole up to neck, then coolant reservoir to "full" level. Easy to get air bubbles, which make for temp spikes.
I was having this issue. When I noticed the temp start to spike after changing mine, I pulled the coolant cap off (with a few rags to prevent getting sprayed ... take cap off slowly) and found that the reservoir was filled with air. I'm assuming it was in the line and just collected at the top. I then refilled it with fluid and it happened a couple more times. It's fine now though!
