not subaru, but Audi A4 for sale

I know this is not a Subaru but I've been told that folks on this forum may be interested so here goes...

1997 Audi A4 Quattro, 1.8t 5-speed, stage 1 chip from TAP, K&N air filter -- total 198 HP.

Bose sound, 6 CD changer. Heated seats. 232000 mi., timing belt done at 193,000.

"sport" package, incl 16" alloy wheels (not the wheels in the photo).

This is a really nice car and the engine is going strong and has never been a problem and consumes no oil. I've had the car from 63k miles on. It currently needs some work to make Maine inspection and I got a new car:

-- rust in panel under driver's side rear door. This is

localized due to an old accident but needs metal to fill. Rest of car is clean.

-- Power steering pump

-- RF axle,

-- rear sway bar link,

-- E-brake cables

-- side mirror glass

OK, guilty as charged. I was not aware of the faux pas. I was pointed to this group by friends (who shall remain nameless to not spread my guilt) who thought there might be people interested in the car. I joined rather than having someone else post the car. Would that have been the better thing to do?

In introduction, I live in Falmouth and do not own a Subaru although lots of my friends and family do :-) I currently drive a Passat TDI which is why I'm selling the A4. If the thread is inappropriate I have no problem if it is removed and I apologize for coming in out of nowhere.

BTW, the price is negotiable, or I could have the work done and could work out a post-fixed price. I just thought people could save $$ by doing the work themselves.

I don't think it's a problem that you're trying to sell it here ... there are a lot of Audi fans here as well. We just like to get to know our new members a little better, that's all!
