I believe the tranny is controlled by it's own computer. I'm not 100% sure on the older ones, but I think so. I' think it will work fine, you might have to swap out a few sensors and plugs

If it's a 5spd, should work fine ... AT, you might need to swap the AT computer, but I don't think it'll work regardless. Ask me why I think that
