Oil Plug leaking

I recently changed my oil out. In the process I had to replace my oil plug as the other one was stripped (it was a pain in the butt to get out). But ever since I have been leaking oil from my plug. I went under today and tried to tighten it, seeing if that was the problem. But when I tried to tighten it, it didn't get any tighter than it already was. I don't know what else to do.

But on the plus side, a fresh oil change will be quicker to do.

 Your talking about the copper split washer right? If so then I did.

Hmm, not sure about a copper split washer. It's a silver washer that actually compresses when you tighten the drain plug.

Are you positive it is the drain plug? I would suggest wiping down the entire oil pan and any area around it then checking a day later.
