my brother bought a 99 2.5rs and its been sitting for months.. he fired it up few days ago and runs like ass.. took a look at it today and i think it may be a MAF sensor

could very well be,you tried cleaning it to see if it changes how it runs? Usually if the MAF is pooched then it won't even turn over....I speak from experience as it was the worst sound in the world to me the day mine gave up the ghost....I love GCs but 99 was the worst year as far asoverall dependability goes:mad:

It's a rolling chassis, but you need to bring tires to mount up

tried to clean it today.. didnt make a difference... once i disconnect it the thing runs better and it actually revs up and no excessive fuel smell from the exhaust. my bro got a good deal on this 2.5rs. 97K on the odom. for $4k body looks really clean and it drove fine when he first got it

Rolling shell still for sale. Includes entire drivetrain, rear brakes, fuel system.

I know of a '98 RS auto that's locally for sale uber cheap that this all could be swapped into.

the engine is gone correct? you should contact allan downes about the drive train...he was looking for some bits at the DOT service.
