I am in the process of buying an 05 RS, and I no longer have need for this beautifle piece of mashinery. I will include all of the information I know about the vehical:
1995 Subaru Impreza Coupe
98,XXX miles
FWD
Standard
The good:
car set up for stock class racing with the following
3 sets of rims:
13" summer tires in a 175/50/13, optimizes shift points and are road worthy brand new with 50 miles, $225 from tire rack shipped.
13" winter studded tires (I do not remember the make, they are currantly at my parants house) pleanty of tread (75%)
15" rims mismatched tires, 2 with 75" tread (matching) 2 that need to be replaced.
front struts are jdm sti with stock springs
rear springs are kyb gr2 with stock springs
performance hawk brake pads
front and rear seats will be out of an 05 2.5 RS (replacing the new car with the WRX interior that is currantly in the car)
passingers side CV shaft just replaced
regular oil changes for the last year that I have owned it
mechanically sound
the bad:
car has some rear fender rot, not to bad
both front fenders are showing signs of rust and could use to be patched/replaced
no major rust on the underside of the car, some surface rust on the rocker pannals, but still solid (needs to be scraped and treated)
transmission shifter linkage bushings need to be replaced (have the bushings, havn't had a chance to put them in yet) caris drivable and shifts smothly, but there is about an inch of play due to worn bushings.
I have recantly noted a small seepage of oil, I only notice it on the bottem of the oil pan, I will be replacing the seal on the oil plug, which I precieve to be the culprit. no noticable loss of oil from oil change to oil change.
I belive the clutch was replaced by the previous owner at around 75K.
engine and transmission have been strong sense I purchased it at 85K.
I am asking 1200 for it from anyone else, but my final is 1000 firm for it.
