ok a noob question

i would like to install a hood with working scoop on my 05 impreza 2.5rs

what am i looking at in general costs. i can do things on my own but i do have a very good mechanic.

I am looking at an AEM short ram intake says for 04-05 wrx/sti , im sure it will fit correct?

i hate how my car does not have the scoop, just the dip in the hood =(

any insight would be helpful.

Tomorrow i am calling a junk yard to see if i cant get a cheap hood.

I have a 1992 legacy it idles fine but falls flat when you step on the gas no power at all. also the mileage has went from 30+ to 12 to 15mph any ideals on what might be wrong? any help would be great. thanks
