random noises

sometimes when backing out of my driveway, and then taking off i hear a click-thunk noise coming from the transmission. is this normal? And just last week i had my car in 2nd gear slowing down with clutch released already and heard a clicking noise that could also be felt in the shifter. does this sound like im going to need a transmission already? i baby my car and its all highway mileage with dealer maintenance.

questions like this on a late-model car....well, why do you think warranties were invented?

sounds like it might be a bum CV joint on one of the axles.

nah ive heard CV axle noises before, nothing like this. in all honesty it sounds like the differential had bound up and was releasing pressure. as far as the 2nd gear clicking, it has only done that once and scared the crap out of me.

well the longer you wait to get car into shop for diagnosis, the more likely the bigger the problem (or related probs caused by first prob) will be. one bad part soon leads to other bad parts.
