Rear Differential Fluid

N/A All The Way!!
What fluid are you guys using when you service your rear differentials? This is an easy job that I have been paying for at Charlie's...about time I just do it myself.

PS- It would be nice if it was something I could pick up at VIP or Advanced Auto!

Synthetic 75-90. Good name brand, buy 4 quarts. 3-3.25 in the tranny and the rest in rear diff. Just make sure to check the dipstick on the tranny

I tend to ignore sube lube numbers and gracefully get away with it...

I am grabbing some of dads rockwell rear end juice from his western star..

85w-140 for me. the subes rear end is not like other cars..

I put some in the tranny too, my witches brew has a few other things for the tranny , including 75w-90 synthetic. 85w90, reused some of the old (grab old bond). The thick stuff stays with the slow stuff, the slow stuff is the big stuff..... and ya know, that is genius as of now.
