rich smelling exhaust

Since the weather has warmed up and my windows have been down I have noticed my exhaust has been smelling a tad rich. Also I have lost 2-3 mpg. Only happens when it its running so I know it is not the filler neck. No CEL. K&N filter cleaned 6k or so miles ago. MAF and throttle body cleaned a month ago. Any ideas?

Plugs/wires? Maybe not burning all the fuel well enough.

I'll have to pull the plugs and check. They are only 3 years or 30k old at the most. Still runs fine just smells a bit.

Could be a failing air/fuel sensor

They are suppose to be changed on a certain interval like the plugs and wires not when they die like most people change them

So I can't seem to find a replacement online right now. I only have my phone for internet.

Also I have no idea where it is.

That's what I was thinking.

I only have one, and it looks to be a pain to change. Chances are I won't save any money by changing that. Hopefully I am off on a ship in a few weeks. I'll just keep an eye out for a CEL.
