Stromung high flow cat + exhaust

I had posted a topic about my 98 Forester exhaust last week, and I want to get some input back from people.

I have a 98 Forester S that's in pretty good shape and fairly young since she just turned 100k. I have been to hell and back with this car. I flipped it over three years ago and drove away. I love my Subaru.

My previous mechanic welded the resonator straight to the cat and muffler a couple years ago and frankly my exhaust now needs help. Since I'm getting more interested in performance, and want to keep driving till she dies, I'm considering putting in a better exhaust. I went to boxer4racing.com and they have a Stromung high Flow cat ($359) and Stromung cat back ($559). The full stainless should hold up well against the salt, while giving more horsepower.

I wanted to get your thoughts, what you have, any ideas?

I haven't done anything like this before, just small tinkering and such. Is the high flow cat going to throw off my computer and the o2 sensors? How tricky are o2 sensors to install yourself? Should I stick with the ones I have or order new? From Subaru or other such as Denso?

I'm sure this topic has been beaten to death, but I would appreciate your input.

in my opinion its still na and a high flow cat will result in minimal results and isn't worth the cash...id personally just get a nice 2.25/2,50 cat back and decent muffler and call it a day. performance and na doesn't go together!!!

^This is true, you won't see much for gains, but it will sound better, and the stainless will last. If you want the Suby rumble, get the headers. That first link I posted is a package deal, headers and cat pipe. You can get catless as well, and it will pass Main'es visual inspection because it appears that there is a cat, and it's much cheaper. And then again, do whatever you like for a cat back, including buying a WRX/STi OEM cat back and having it modified to fit.

ive been interested in the Stromung cat back with the dual tips. they look like a good product and I wonder if anyone else has used or know someone who has this exhaust?

They have a good name. Never used any of their stuff myself but they are one of the bigger names out there. Generally accepted as quality stufff
