I have a 97 ej22 complete engine minus side timing covers ~70$obo. 99 legacy oem spoiler ~20$, 15 in. 6 spoke miglia 1000 aluminum rims 5x100 ~200$ obo, gray interior door panels from 97 outback ~10$ obo, 07 sti coil springs take offs ~80$, flowmaster 50 series delta flow muffler brand new in box 2.25 in/out ~100$. Make me an offer, I'm tired of looking at the space they take up. Pics upon request.

How many miles on the EJ22, and what condition is it in?? Has it had any maintenance done?

and how complete is it?

150k needs head gaskets as far as I know. Bought for franken motor setup lost interest, decided to do eg33 swap instead.

Its complete throttle body to oil pan except for ex manifold, side timing covers, and the plastic from airbox to throttle body, also has motor mounts. I have an airbox to tb setup for a 98 outback ill throw in.

EJ22: Being a 97, I assume it's a phase 1, correct? Spark plugs DON'T go through valve covers?

What's the deal with the ej25?

You are correct on the ej22, the ej25 was in my outback till the head gaskets went then I pulled it and swapped it with another ej25 I had already done the gaskets on. It needs a couple pullys, flexplate/flywheel and a new oil pan besides the obvious head gaskets

When it was in (August) I had no problems aside from the head gasket. There is no real noticeable piston slap even on cold start. 200k oil done every 3-4k was owned by older woman before me.

I'm interested in the 22, but can't really afford it till my car sells. So if you still have it then... I'll take it. If not, good luck selling it to someone else.

Ah - gotcha. It's a pretty easy job on this engine, so I'd probably just do it. I need another ej22, and this is perfect for a good price.

Ya I could go through it easy enough fix it a sell it for 4x more but I have other projects and I work 60hrs a week.
