svx axle/cv joints non repackable?

so im replacing a front axle on the svx because the cv boot is ripped. i want to take the axle apart so i can clean and repack it but the axle i have has no circlips or any clips of the sort to remove. the outer races will not slide off either end. it almost looks like the ends of the axle shafts were pressed into the outer races permanently? Is this a common thing? I've read all the how to's on how to remove the races and ball bearings but they all say remove the clips and it slides apart. my races have metal nubs holding them in.

do i need to replace the whole axle for a simple cv boot replacement?

Are you still in the Bangor area? I am possibly going to be up that way saturday or sunday. I have repaired cv shafts on a variety of different applications. I could take a look at it.

well i figured out the problem. turns out my front axles didnt have the removable clips to remove the outer housing on the axle, the housings hammer off the end of the axle (much like an ATV axle).
