Temp gauge isn't reading correctly!

So my temp gauge is showing my car is still cold after driving for about an hour, it blows warm air but not hot like usual! Any ideas what it could be?

Start with the thermostat. It's cheap and easy to replace.

Then feel the radiator Hoses and see if there hot after the cars been running to see if the coolant is circulating. Maybe a partial plug somewhere like the heater core or a water pump getting weak? Someone might know better then I.

wonky temp guage readings can also be a sign of impending headgasket woes. check coolant level to be sure it's not being burned in combustion chambers--due to h/gs leaking. also check oil for milky color or foaming under filler cap--sign that coolant is mixing with oil.

hopefully it's just a bad sender, a bad connex or bad ground.
