timing belt

Or you could buy a car from some spank that hasn't changed it with 148K on the clock.

Mine's getting done today

I changed mine on Saturday. The belt looked Ok, but none of the timing marks would line up. That showed me the belt was stretched. When I put the new belt on, they lined up exactly. Now, the car runs and accelerates much more smoothly and doesn't pop on long downhills anymore.

Also, there are some belt guides around 3 of the 4 cams. Did you guys know those are suppose to be set with a feeler guage to 1 mm of clearance? I didn't.

What are the symptoms of a badly stretched t-belt, or more drastically what would they be if the belt is off one tooth?

Thanks.

Skippin', fartin' and poppin'. It won't run very smooth. And usually it won't even set a CEL until it's real bad.
