would I run into any problems trying to mount 215-45-17 on my car? They are normally 225-45-17.

you may have better luck with a little bit more sidewall. 215-50-17,215-55-17. That 215- 45-17 will be stretched out like a puerto rican rice bomber, no offense if you are part peurto rican will.

I actually just bought some 235-45-17 Perrelli P6 4 seasons off a guy on Craigslist for $245 brand new. Not what I really wanted but I need them bad cuz my Hankook rs-2s aren't cutting it in the snow! Plus the cheapest snow tires I can find are $120+. I figured they would be better than runnin the hankooks so f- it.
