Probability been covered but I'm trying to find out if a automatic transmission from a 99 sus 2.5 dohc will fit a 95 legacy 2.2

You posted in the for sale section. But anyway, no it will not. 99 SUS is a phase 2 4.44, 95 Legacy is a phase 1 4.11

Wouldn't it work if you grabbed the rear diff? Maybe the drive shaft if they are different. If the gear ratios ate different, changing all of the gears to the same ratio seems like it would work. Anyone else with more insight able to clarify this?

No, one is a phase 1, the other is a phase 2. The electronics are all different.

Well he has the entire 99 donor car, so it could be done right?  Not sure how much work in total tho

I'm sure it could, but I'd be willing to bet that the tranny harness and wiring are intertwined in the rest of the harness.
