I haven't been around the forum much lately due to engineering classes taking up most of my life. I have been working on formula SAE car for umaine for the last 3 years now and it has been great. We are going under a chassis redesign at the moment and looking for a local supplier of tubing. We use to purchase it from American Steel and Alum but they no longer want to deal with the small orders as they special order the stuff for us. Any of you guys know who locally could get the stuff? I dont mind driving to NH if needed---thanks

Here's the list we need for this car

great aside from all the f'n going from focused to unfocused in every damn shot. Yes, cool video technique, but that much is just downright annoying. So much so that it ruined the whole video for me and I was sitting here cranky through the action shots.

We get our materials from steel service, theyre somewhere near l/a I can get their number later today

783 8506 in lewiston

Yeah, steel service is good, also Tri-state steel,TW Dick in gardiner possibly,Kodiak steel in winslow,Ive never bought any chromoly myself, but I deal with all these guys for the state DOT...we have a local guy who builds perimeter chassis/roll cages etc....If you have no luck with the steel companies,I can check with him...excuses to get over there and hang out are always great!
