Used Gravel Tires

I have piles of used gravel tires to sell off before the Dirt Drive...Hankooks, Pirelli's, BFG's possibly some Yokohamas....have to go dig in the pile and take an inventory. but there are plenty to go around.

if you want a set please respond here asap.

All of the gravel tires for sale are 15" some are 195-65's others maybe 205-65's

cheap sets starting at 100 for lesser quality brands, typical set of 4 of good tires with some decent tread left are going to be $150.

This week is the only week I will have to handle the deals for the next 3 or 4 weeks due to NEFR and the next Dirt Drive the weekend after. tires are located in the bangor area. Dan and Garret are making the trip up this weekend to buy their tires hopefully, maybe if interested you can hook up with them, give them your cash and they can come home with a set for you.

I'm Yo Pusha!

I'd like a decent set... I have 06-07 wrx 17's on my foz, cuz of the 4/2's, but I am trying to figure out what smaller wheel I can run, unless of course there are any 17's with a little taller than stock sidewall (as compared to stock forester tires). I am gonna lift the foz back up to stock plus a inch, plus taller tires.

these tires are EXCELENT for rallycross and will last you a few seasons also.

great tires for going to camp on.

REALLY good deal on some high performance off road tires....

hit me up.

Kumho's sold...got a set of Hankooks left...plus many many more, but I have to go set up more sets...

but $100 for the hankooks is a great bargain set of tires.

im gunna be in bangor tommorro ill be there around 9 or so. will you be available ? ill be around for a few hours.

how would they hold up to use on normal roads ?

are they any good in snow ?

Can answer a few of those

Stupid hard

Only use them for transit. They will wear out too fast on regular roads.

Absolutely not.

price depends on which tyres, the Michelins BFGs and Pirellis cost more than the Kumhos or Hankooks. (read up in the thread, the prices are noted)

compound is mostly medium.

These tyres are not street tyres, they are specialized for enthusiast use on dirt roads. they are not even "somewhat streetable" tyres. they are super tough with reinforced sidewalls to resist impacts from rocks/dips/culverts/yumps/ etc. they have a stiff carcass that handles really well on dirt but runs loud and rides rough on pavement. if your mom or the g/f is riding with you, they might ask "why does your car sound like a mudder truck?"

Think of gravels as a second (or third) set of rubber set aside for specialized dirt play days or rallyXin or like Rez sez, "driving to camp" in that forest road paradise Mainers know as the Great North Woods.

Gravel tyres are comically bad in snow cuz below freezing the tread blocks freeze and grip like hockey pucks. we have bent Subie bodywork displayed on the shop wall to prove this.
