Viton 203 o-rings for 08+ Walbro install

I dont know if this really falls under "for sale" but here goes.

I bought a pack of these when I did my Walbro 255 fuel pump install on my 08WRX. I have about a dozen left over. They are a pain in the butt to chase down, and kinda pricey because they required me to buy so many. All you need it one, so if you're looking for one let me know.

This is a needed o-ring for a Walbro 255 pump install on a 08+ WRX/STI.

All I ask is that you send me a self-adressed stamped envelope, And ill give you an o-ring. No payment needed.

PM me for my address.

Bump. Putting it out there. The Walbro NEEDS this o-ring. You can run it using the factory ring, but you're leaking pressure.

FREE BUMP!

You sure these are always necessary? I read in one of XPT Tunings posts on another site that they were only needed if you had an issue. Seemed to be a pretty straight foward install for me, I didn't need anything extra. But I did need to spend about 3 hours being super careful with a dremel. I took the ridges off the top of the pump when I did my install. Everything went together nice and tight when I was done, just like stock. Haven't had any issues of any kind yet. The only thing I needed extra was a C-Clip/Snap Ring that shot off to who knows where.

It has nothing to do with how well you dremeled, or how long it took you to install. The area of problem is when you go to install the pump in to the sending unit "bucket" the feed nipple for the new pump has a smaller OD then the factory pump. You would NEVER know this unless you pulled the orings out of the bucket and tested them on the nipples of the new pump. If you did you would have found that it is pretty slack on the nipple.

These new orings have the same size OD so they fit into the holes in the bucket. But a smaller ID so that they will fit tight on the nipple of the new pump. I suspect that through some good tuning (logging) you might find some evidence of the pump bleeding pressure. Whats the point of installing a pump that pushes more, if all you do is bleed pressure, and leak back into the tank.

Its def worth changing while you are in there. You may never see a difference. But its peice of mind that I did it right the first time for me.

Note: Tee hee. I said "nipple".

Heh, well if I may grab one of these from you then. If I ever take it back apart again I will change it. I could swear that I checked the fitment of that black O-Ring on the nipple fitting in to the bucket. I put it in and pulled it out 7 or 8 times checking fitment. The ring was tight enough to hold the pump in the bucket by its self, so I figured that was good enough. I am not pusing serious power yet anyway. Thanks for the info and the warning Nate.
