We got passed by an Impreza XV?

We were on a run through the white mountains, I noticed a black impreza coming up so I slowed down to see what it was. Inside the grill had red accents, so I figured it was someone's modded WRX or STI. The thing is, the badge on the hatch lid said impreza XV.

what exactly is it? Do we even get these in the states? I was kind of caught off guard by the XV badge that I didn't notice the license plate.

yep that's it. this one was black, and the grill insert was different. they waved at the STI pretty frantically from what my wife said.

the front looked like a GTI because of the red insert. wasn't sure what I was looking at for a second.
