What wheels?

195/60R15

So those winterforces should be fine in 195/60-15

magna grips are the shizz nits i had a used set on my fwd integra and i felt like i could drive everywhere in a blizzard cant imagine what a brand new set would be like my manager just got me a used set for my stock 16s so i cant wait till it snows and they're not pricey either

I don't know where to find Magna Grips. I'm starting to think that it makes more sense to buy the tires locally and get free/cheaper installation than buying on tirerack, unless they're that much cheaper.

So Magna Grips, Winterforce, or what?

we sell magna grips at the portland tire warehouse we have winterforces too but not sure if we have it in your size for the winterforces we have magna grips in pretty much all average sizes

i dont know the prices too well i just work in the shop but i checked a price on magna grips 205-55-16 and they were like 80 bux a piece i think i forgot so im sure 195-65-15 aren't gonna be more than that

Go to tire warehouse. Buy winter tires that fit your rims. End thread.

If you want to go over the top and do research, go to the store, see what they have for options in winter tires. Write down the brand/model. Go home, go on tirerack, read the reviews and compare against other tires.

Price wise I think the winterforces make more sense than magna grips, but I'll keep both in mind.

I'll read reviews on tirerack about all of their winter tires. Chey, do you happen to know if the website has all of them?

I picked up 4 General Tire Arctic Climax the other day from Tire Warehouse in Topsham. Total was like 360 for a set of 195/60-15s. And they are MEATY. I'd look into those Nate.

BTW, my last post was in jest. Just thought I'd tell everyone.

I noticed that too... Where else can I go for reviews? Nasioc?

i dunno what kind of reviews they would have i would think people on nasioc would want performance snow tires i like good handling tires that will get me around in snow with my experience with the magna grips i think they were awesome being on a fwd car so i cant imagine how awesome they would be on an awd car but if theres another tire that suits you go for it im just giving you my 2 cents on tires that i experienced

I just went outside and realized that I got Magnaforce winters instead of the arctic climax things.

Get the Magnaforce. They are some serious tetris tires. If you go to the rallyx tomorrow, and I end up driving the wagon down, I'll let you see them first hand.

Well I'm under 18 and there's no way my mom will sign waivers for me on such short notice. Am I allowed to watch without them (waivers)?

Probably not. Insurance dictates what happens at these events, and so more than likely you'll need a waiver to watch.

I live in Woolwich. It's about a 30 minute drive from Yarmouth. North.

I come through Yarmouth most days on my way home from school. But by that point I'm ready to murder everyone so probably isn't a good time to meet up. But it could be arranged. Hell I could meet you at Bruce's and we could have burritos. Because Bruce's has the yum.

Yes they do

Maybe we can wait until there's some snow on the ground? Would be a good way to demonstrate the tires. I don't think you want me driving the car though, I stalled three times today

. I watched this sick vid where they weretesting the new STI spec C with the new evo ralliart, an NSX-r, some Lexus Tom's, and a Nismo version 370z.

YouTube - Best Motoring 2009-11 Impreza WRX Sti 370Z Nismo Lexus IS-F Lancer Evo X Ralliart Nsx-R

I was trying to shift as fast as the drivers and I failed quiet miserably... (no stalls while driving though, only while starting off

). I don't give iti enough gas when I get off the clutch real quick like these guys. I'm going back to driving normally starting tomorrow

You won't be able to shift as fast as those guys anyway. Mechanically And if you want fun in the snow, I'll bring out my BMW. The car with the Magnagrips is just a front drive Volvo wagon. I can make it oversteer no problem, without the handbrake, but the BMW is power oversteer. But hopefulyl by then, that will have snows on it too. Then it will not be stopped.

Trying to balance a car on a hill just using gas and clutch makes your clutch sad. Moral of the story be a man and use brake and clutch on hills until you're ready to go. Don't use the e-brake either. Go find a hill and practice until you can do hill starts tied up like an al-qaida operative in guantanamo bay
