What're you getting for fuel efficiency?

State your ride, condition, any significant mods, tires, and usual commute (work, school, leisure) and give an average MPG for highway and city versus the EPA estimates set for your vehicle.

I'll go first.

2013 Wrx

New condition

Bridgestone blizzak ws70 snowtires (rated low-average on fuel efficiency by manufacturer)

Usually commute 17 miles to work, 17 miles home, about 3-4 miles of it's city, 13-14 highway.

Averaging around 19 mpg in city, 23 rural, 25/26 highway.

EPA rates as 19 city | 25 highway. Pretty true to it's estimates.

However using cruise control going home on a long distance drive 100+ miles at 66mph I was averaging this:

More impressive than the 2002 2.0L 110 HP sedan that got about 28 I was driving.

Who's got the best mileage? Worst?

20.7 avg on the ecu across 7k mi, probably closer to 19.5-20.0 in actual fuel.

Have seen 37 mpg doing 45mph in 5th gear driving home from Sugarloaf in the Summer.

Worst was probably 15 mpg, driving like a complete idiot.

Ride 07 2.5I.

Hybrid intake, custom cat-back.

Yokohama Avid touring-S

Usual commute like 6 miles to school: 25 MPG

Usually average around 27 mixed driving.

30+ MPG straight highway driving, assuming i stay around 65-70.

Best tank ever was 34 but that was me trying to drive fuel efficiently.

Worst tank 24 MPG, that was a round trip from bangor to lewiston at about 90-95

EPA says 22 City, 29 Highway

01 VDC Outback 3.0 6 cyl. 25 mpg around town in summer only 22 mpg with the crappy winter gas and I only run 93. Probably not bad for a 3800 lb car with 226,000 miles.

95 Impreza L coupe 1.8L front wheel drive

el cheapo tires during the summer on alloys

nice studded snows during the winter on steel

muffler, k&n drop in filter, intake silencer removed

normally drive 200+ miles along route 1 every weekend and short trips around town at school

I keep up with or pass people on my drive. Highest is 34 mpg lowest was 28 mpg. Not sure what the EPA says for it.

Your worst tank is better than my average during the winter

07 2.5i imp, k&n panel filter, dynimax muffler, uel headers, skinny snow tires. 22 miles country roads to work, 23mpg. With summer tires doing all highway I get 28

Filled up last night before the drift session and had 151 miles on the last tank of gas. Put 11.5 gallons in the car so that means about 13.13 MPG ><. Stupid in town driving/drifting lol

I drive a 1996 Impreza, its in good condition other then the rust holes haha, I do have 2002 WRX breaks on it but that's the only mod I have and I honestly have no idea what I have for tires but I get about 15 mpg in the city and about 19-20 on the highway. When school is in session I drive 40 miles to school and 40 miles back everyday. 20 miles on the pike and 20 miles in the city. that's the only major driving I do. Work is 0.6 miles from my house so that's not a long commute at all.

I should be getting 19 in the city and 26 on the highway but that is not happening, and will probably never happen with the way that I drive. I average about 45mph in the city and about 80-85 on the highway haha.

My commute right now is about 60 miles round trip, I average around 23-25 mpg. I drive it hard, but she's still quite the pig. MPG in my RS is a lot different, usually as peachy as 35, so long as I don't get into the boost too much.
