Which battery to get?

So to continue my streak of (what Shorty called) a really bad hex...

My battery & my connectors are junk. Not the posts, mind you, but the actual tie-downs.

So, time to replace the cable ends, and my battery at the same time. Can anyone suggest a good economical battery? I'd love to have an Optima but I'm not exactly loaded right now. And besides, it'd be the most valuable part on the car... LOL!

 
Honestly, I've always gone with Walmart brand, Duralast I think. Cheap, and they seem to last pretty good. I think I've had a problem with maybe 2 of them, and they replaced them no questions asked.

 
Subaru batteries are pretty decent. They cost maybe a few bucks over the wal-mart cheapie, but you get a cool Subaru label on it

Sears Die Hard would be my first choice. Honestly I usually get an Interstate battery when and if I need one from someone right here in town.

 
i like the optima red top in the wrx, but i've used walmart $45 everstarts for a bunch of beaters and daily drivers like the vdub. they've worked well for me as well, and they'll give you a full refund in the first year.
