So I started my 2003 WRX today and when I rev it up in park lots of white smoke comes out of the exhaust. It has a strong gas smell as well. Is this a serious problem? It has never done this before.
White gas smelling smoke coming from my exhaust.

Mine runs rich on startup. Most have white "smoke" (steam or something) on startup. Did it go away? If not I'd get it looked at, if it did I wouldn't worry. Mines puffing away in the yard right now warming up

Well it just started doing it yesterday and I thought that it was just cold but like it went away last night but came back. The smoke wasn't as "thick" the second time. It drove fine I checked my oil and it was perfect and I added coolant cause I thought it might have something to do with that. I just hope its nothing serious.
