Why is my car weird after unpluging the battery?

Alright so I know that my ecu gets reset when you unplug the battery for a minute or 2 but what does that even mean and why does it make my car run funky for alittle while? Also does that efect my open source map? I think I already know how this all works but I just want to clear it up.

Afaik when the battery is unplugged, the ECU will go through a learning process. Same goes for tranny if auto. It will take some time for it to re learn.

If you let it idle for 5 min with the a/c off, then turn the a/c on and let it idle for another 5 min, it'll act normal.

Or I can just drive it and it will come out of it right?

I dont mind waiting I just have been messing with it a lot latley so 10 minutes everytime adds up.
