WTB: 05 Legacy GT wagon

I am looking for a gt wagon or maybe 06-07 WRX wagon with a manual transmission. I currently have sedan but I am thinking I need to move towards a wagon for functionality. I'd be down to trade to, plus some cash.

Be warned about the 05 legacy GT...... They like to go BOOM. If you are insistent upon one. Make sure you get oil change records. If they don't have records of oil changes 3k to 3.5k mile intervals, walk away. If you're still insistent upon getting an 05 GT and don't have oil records, get a compression check, leak down, buy a new turbo right away, pull the banjo bolt screens, and pray to da subaru gods she don't go boom.

I don't mean to poo poo your parade, I went through a month of drama with an oh fiver myself, and boy do I not wish that upon anyone.

I know you've got an 05, and since you haven't blown it up, you're probably treating it right. The problem is, while we love our subarus, ya don't know the previous owner would love theirs as much as we would

I had an issue as well with the wife's '05 having the turbo fail. I think as Mikey says if you have the Banjo bolt replaced and be RELIGIOUS with the oil changes you will be ok. I waited to remove the bolt (its a giant PITA) and paid the price. You can also buy an oil line kit for peace of mind

oh ya, I know all about the turbo problems. When I was replacing the uppipe with a catless one it had already failed causing the turbo to fail, I then installed a VF46 instead of the VF40 that came in the 05-06's. I like the legacy and 2005 is the only year they made a turbo wagon with a manual transmission.
