I just bought a pre broken 05 Legacy GT and I need a new turbo for it. If anyone has a cheap td04 off a 08 or newer wrx laying around please contact me.

Yup. It was one of those deals that was too good to pass up. I would like to fix it and drive it for a little while and sell it in the spring to fund more toys for the first gen.

If the turbo is toast, the motor is probably in bad shape. Inspected the cam journals yet, or pulled the oil pan, or cut open the oil filter? I've only ever seen one lgt that cooked a turbo, and didn't take the motor with it. The oil seals in the turbo went on that one, and the owner brought it in for oil consumption before things got nasty.

Bump, still looking. I would prefer to buy one locally. I am also trying to find a catless uppipe.

Tempting but I would rather keep it as stock as possible for resale purposes.
