Depending on the level of the noise comming from the engine, it may be considered normal. That said, my 2009 WRX has almost 55,000 miles on it and it only makes the slightest noise at idle when the oil is old and getting low. My buddies 2002 OBS makes quite a clatter, but it comes and goes. Its...
Sounds good. Saturday I may be tearing open my front bumper to re-install my replacement fog light ballast, you could stop by then too if for some reason Friday doesn't work out. I will probably just do it in the driveway unless its raining, in which case I will have to wait or take it up to...
I don't know what I am doing friday, working for sure. Not sure about later. I figure they are about $80 new, this one is not very old so... how do you feel about $40?
Hey Ray, I have a fairing like the one you posted a picture of. Exactly like it actually, Im also not sure I am going to use it again becuase it ate my paint do to the curvature of the roof. I think it was also vibrating because the person I bought it from left the white platic backing on it so...
Oh ha ha. Don't worry this seems to be my cycle anyway, go 4 or 5 years of no tickets and get hit twice in one year. This is the third time that my luck has played out in such a way. I guess those who don't learn from history are bound to repeat it. Maybe I should worry though becuase they say...
Yeah, which if I get pulled over, increases my chances of getting a ticket I know. But I figure the number of previous tickets pretty much ensures that anyway so I figure its worth it. I run a Beltronics, RX-65 hard wired through the roof near the rear view mirror. He may have seen it but I...
Lol, Im keeping the phone regardless, its worse than a crackberry. Yeah I knew it was a 25mph zone as soon as the bridge stops because its residential, but it was more or less commercial before the bridge and lower density comming from a 35mph zone. Anyway if I do take it to court, I will...
Excellent information I-wagon, I appreciate it. That actually may be very helpful. I will have to look at the other end. I know that specifically at the other end of the bridge there is an empty sign post. Who knows what was supposed to be there, but there is just a post now and I took pictures...
I was already dealing with a bunch of dentists bills, unnexpected doctors bills, other expeditures and I bought a new Android phone. I was also getting ready to buy new brakes and get prepare for 60,000 mile service recommended maintenance. Then it hailed on my car, then I get stopped for...
Got another speeding ticket this morning about 1000ft down the road from the office building I work at on Old Winthrop road in Augusta. He got me comming accross the overpass. He says I was doing 40 in a 25 but I thought I was doing more like 30. I had to go back and look because I could have...
Thanks Eric, I appreciate it. As I feel you were right that me posting about this was probably in poor judgement I have done the best that I can and edited my posts, but I cannot change the quotes people have made of them and if they feel that it is the right thing to do, they can fix thier...
Ok, I want to appologize to the Augusta Dealership. I should not have said anything about possible hail damage to the cars in thier lot. It just seemed as if the guy I talked didn't want to admit it when I was stuck in traffic 100ft away when it happened. It seemed deceptive. As I drove through...
Earlier this week or late last week I saw a Red STI hatchback drive through the parking lot of the TRC Engineering building on western Ave. It was being driven by what looked to be a good lookin girl. I was amazed, and sorta sorry to see her just pass through the parking lot. Not often do you...
I did go down to talk to them about the damage, the guy said "Wow, that's as bad as the worst ones we had!" He even pointed out a ding on my fender. Apparently some cars on thier lot got dinged up.
(I edited part of this message too because it was posted in poor judgement. It said too...
(I have blanked the beginning of this comment due to the content being in poor judgement, I would appreciate anyone who quoted me doing the same, it was not fair for me to say what I said.)
I have friends here at work with black fords, chevy's and toyotas. They must use thicker metal because...
Yup, I called them and it does. Like my deer impact I assume its comprehensive coverage and should be a $100 deductable with no permanant effects on my premium. The shop knows Im comming too. Marvin's Autobody in farmington is where I'm taking it. I couldn't tell any difference between the paint...
Just looked at it again. Without washing and drying I can see that there are around 5 or 6 dents that you notice without being told they are there. The hood has the fewest dents, maybe 3 good ones and 3 ripples. The roof has 4 good ones and around 10 ripples, maybe more.
I am going to leave the windows up and let it sit in the hot sun, hopefully the fact that it is black will cause it to heat up enough to slightly expand the steel sheet and pop em out, but Im doubting it. I will call the insurance company this afternoon. I have damn good insurance so I am not...
Well now I have another item to add to my list of bad luck. Leaving work today in the thunderstorm that passed through at around 4:45 I got stuck in traffic on western Ave in front of the car dealerships. It started hailing nearly golfball size hail and traffic was not fast enough to seek...
Oh, as far as vinyl itself goes, that looks like good work. Now if it just had an lift, roll cage, group N brakes, Group N engine, 15" wheels with gravel spec tires, a few other things.
