    245/40/18 Toyo Proxxes 4 tires (pair) - $100

These are about $300/pair shipped normally, so these are 1/3 price. I went with tires of a different width this year so i dont need this pair. no holes or leaks or anything, and they appear to have about double the minimum tread depth. located in cumberland but can be picked up near the mall...

Has anyone heard of a Centering Ring??

also i forgot to mention this about the original problem/question: any competent shop should be able to balance a wheel. they should have a cone shaped piece that goes in through where the center cap is and centers itself. then the hub centric rings dont even come into play.

    Weird cylinder scoring?!

if they're factory they were most likely sized right, if it was rebuilt or aftermarket its a crap shoot.

Has anyone heard of a Centering Ring??

hub-centric rings definitely can make it easier to mount wheels quickly, but they're not needed. subarus have conical lug nuts that self center the wheel as long as you mount it right. anyway, i would just buy them for $20 or whatever, you can probably get them on ebay. if you dont, toss the...

    Weird cylinder scoring?!

looks like a broken ringland to me. 100mm pistons and a rebore should fix it. i wouldnt bother with sleeves. i dont know why anyone does to be honest.

A camera that costs more than an STi !

its actually larger than full frame, its medium frame. that's how they can squeeze 50mp in there and still have decent pixel size that will lead to good image quality. that 80mm lens on a medium format camera will view more like a 35mm lens on common place crop frame sensors. its limited...

    Machine shop for bore/hone??!?

yeah you dont want excess sealant seeping into the oil when you bolt the halves together and extra stuff squeezes out. i've heard good things about butler mcmaster, although engine works unlimited seems to be the place to go for everyone in this area. i believe they quoted me like $120 a while...

    148MPH STI Track Crash

he let go of the steering wheel when he knew he had already lost it and before he hit the wall, just as he should have. probably saved breaking all his fingers. i wonder what APR has to say about their wing. they said they used modified mounts but they didnt say who made them, apr or not.

Help passing the Cumberland County OBD2 readiness inspection

they check it with the key in the 'on' position, but not running. i've had a tech tell me that he's seen people get a PO box in another town, register their car under that town and then get inspected. costs you the registration change though, and your license wont match. i suppose you could...
