STM was it's own thing. It existed before MS and was sort of a Patriot Subaru employee brainchild, iirc. Evergreen Subaru became popular on the forum (through not fault of their own, really) and raisin hit the fan. Carter started MS and when STM started to fall apart, everyone kinda shifted to MS...
