I need to learn magic

On the other hand, that's really good for you buddy! The forum will miss the greek tragedy that was your STi, but all good things must come to an end.

You need to wait atleast 15 days for final clearance of those funds to clear before turning over the car. If he sent you more money than agreed to, do not send him the difference back before the funds clear. Too much **** going on out there.

Well that's going to magically disappear to the bank. Haha.

Have you thought about maybe keeping no payment for the summer?? You might rather enjoy the extra money of not making payments to the bank, and insurance companies.

Save your pennies and pay half down on something in the fall, and have a way smaller payment.

He sent me exactly what I asked and it will take at least that for me to get the title.

While this would be the smartest option I just cant handle driving the escort as soon as the weather gets nice.

I sold a car awhile ago and it was the same situation. Guy from italy said he had to send the money to his business partner in the states and then to me. I got the money in my acct and it was on a friday on that monday the bank called me in and it was a fake transfer. I hope this guy is legit and it's not a scam like mine.

It was a certified bank check for 15k that cleared in my acct. The checks routing number came back fake when my bank went to collect the money.
well what can somone do to make sure it isn't fake? im worried about that now with selling my car

Wait until you have the money. Ask your bank to let you know when they actually have it, and then give the title/whatever.

The money has been scrubed and verfied by my bank and it was a wire transfer not a bank check.

So im not getting Brens M3.... he sold it without letting me know even though I gave him a deposit. I dont know how they do things down in Mass but it wasnt cool at all. His side of the story was that someone offered him what he was asking cash and so he had to accept but a little common curtosy would have been nice. He did refund my deposit but not without telling me that he gave it back because of his good will. I gave him the deposit thursday and on the next thursday morning I had all the money. That was 5 business days which is what he stated would hold the car for, if I gave him a $500 deposit. Im sure he is a great tuner and maybe even an honest person but I did not deserve the way he treated me.

Sounds like a RICHARD move to me...

I understand the need to sell a car BUT HE ENTERED INTO A DEAL... YOU FOLLOWED YOUR END AND HE AS THE SELLER WAS FULLY PROTECTED SINCE HE ALREADY HAD SOME OF YOUR MONEY. I would right him off as a seller/never use his services! Business ethics are very important!

DONT TAKE ANY MONEY IF YOU DON'T PLAN ON FOLLOWING THROUGH WITH YOUR END OF THE DEAL!!!

WHEN YOU TAKE THE MONEY EVEN THOUGH SOMEONE OFFERS YOU MORE YOU DO NOT TAKE IT... YOU WAIT THE TIME YOU HAD STATED!!! HE KNEW YOU HAD THE MONEY TO BUY THE CAR!

When you accept a deposit your car is sold untill the given date that your agreement states!

NO EXCUSES!

LOL NOT ANSWERING YOUR PHONE IS NOT AN EXCUSE FOR NATE NOT MAIKING A PAYMENT!!! IT IS YOU STOPPING HIM FROM DOING SO!!!

Now Bren has his side of the story... but sounds like a fail to me! If you didn't like what Nate offered DON'T TAKE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Im not going to lie I thought about it but I have had two STI's and haven't been able to resist moding them. I dont want to have to resist the temptation.

Wow! That totally sucks, same thing happened to my dad when he put money down on a truck, but this was at a dealership! It's just not right.
