My car has begun to make this loud clunk a few times around 2k-2250 rpm. A few people thought it might be the inboard joint on a cv-shaft but that wasn't it. After replacing the cv-shaft it wasn't as loud. Could it be something else like a ball joint or control arm bushing or is it the HLAs or piston slap?
