you paid that guy for rims and he hasn't refunded your money or supplied rims? Forget that. Post in that thread and get it moved to scammer central. Don't get strung along...

Also, gabe how wide were the wheels you sold me? 8 or 8.5?

looong story short... he gave them to a friend that lived closer to my parents house in mass. I went down there two weekends trying to meet up with the friend...who never picked up his phone. When the friend wouldn't pick up I would call Alan from JNA Performancev(the guy selling the rims) and he never picked up either.. it was a voicemail conversation with myself all weekend until i was rolling back into Portland sunday night both times when he finally calls me asking if I got the rims yet.

such a damn mess and I don't want to start trouble on the site but he wrote me back today when I asked how long it would take to get the refunds saying that he's waiting for the check he cut from PP to clear... taking 1-2 weeks. and I quote...

"I am going to refund the entire amount once the checks comes to me from paypal. I will not exercise my owns funds for this.

Paypal checks take about 1-2 weeks to be sent

Alan"

so i'm kinda stuck right now as to what to do...

i think they were 7.5" but they may have been 8"

 
It's sketchy. I hope that it works out.

Someone who is a vendor, especially, should know all he has to do is click refund on paypal and you get notified right away, although the process does still take around a week at least the buyer knows what the hell is going on and has a paper trail. And it's not *his* money, it's YOURS. Obviously he withdrew the money, spent it on hookers and blow, and is now broke.

Just wrote him his last PM saying that I need the refund since there has been enough time passed since the initial sale and said that I do not want to have to get PayPal involved.... we'll see how this goes

haha I hear that... I was scared to see what they would have looked like on mine...

a little update on the situation...

He had paypal write him a check and send it to him since he has no bank account connected to the paypal account... they not only charged him for the transaction (3%) but also charged him to withdraw and send his check. From the $450 that I sent him, he ended up with $398.50. He called them to complain and ask if he sent back the money to put back in his account would they offer the refund through paypal, thus giving me back my $450...they said not a chance.

We both settled to cut the difference and each take a hit just so I can get my damn money back. So after 3 weeks and 2 trips to western mass I get $425 back... sucks huh

ps. I thought about just going through paypal and filing a complaint but at this point I need the money now...not in 60 days when they decide who wins. Also, he has been much more understanding and trying to work this out so I guess I have to give him that much...
