any interest here? it'd be a good winter car/daily driver. its real only issue is rust which i'm repairing for its soon-to-be inspection sticker. like all rust repairs, that wont last forever. if you dont mind having that dealt with down the road or can do it yourself, then its not that big of a deal.
i picked it out for my girlfriend 2 years ago, fixed the snowbank dent near the gas tank and rust on the drivers side enough so its decent to look at and haven't done much since. its been super reliable (as the 2.2 is known to be) and has taken us to NYC and more without problem.
i would prefer she keep it longer but she wanted a wagon so she got an 02 outback. my brother will be buying it while he is back in the states and using it till the end of august. after that it will be for sale. i'll be honest, he's buying it for $1800 with the knowledge that i'll put it up for sale for him for $1500 once he's left again. the title will be in his name by then but already signed off. that's kind of a minor detail, but it explains the firm price.
$1500 firm. Blue book is $2135 in 'fair' condition.
details:
98 4dr
(98 is the 'newer' GC front)
forest green
auto
a/c
tape deck w/ cassette adapter
gray leather seats from a legacy gt. rears fold down 60/40
some of the interior is dyed black
indestructable rubber front lip
215/60/15 Blizzak's w/ 7000 miles
brand new center pipe on the exhaust
newer front pads and rotors, although pads need rebedding
~210k. engine is mostly quiet, 1 valve seems to make noise for a couple minutes when cold then quiets down.
JUST changed oil/filter.
brakes need bleeding.
i think that's it. i'll post more if i think of it.
