Headlight/foglight question

I was wondering what the headlight/foglight front part is made out of? To me it feels almost like glass, but it could be hard plastic. Joel, any idea?

 
Some are glass, some are plastic. If they feel like glass, they are. You can tell plastic ones right away. Clink it with a quarter, then you'll know. I think GC's were glass.

 
it is a hard plastic, did you scratch it or something. i know that a 2000 grit paper and a buffer will fix it up
