Hello!

I am glad to find a local Subaru forum.

Moved here from MI this year, has been great so far.

Need to find more places to offroad!

I am an Automotive Engineer & ASE Master Mechanic.

If anyone goes on Subaruoutback.org, I use the same member name there as well.

Welcome to the club. It'll be nice to have another knowledgeable guy in here with an automotive background.

Thanks everyone.

Here it is with the steelies and snow tires mounted.

If you noticed the center caps, they are slightly custom, from a Forester.

Wheels are from a 2010 Legacy, which I got an insane deal on.

Tires are Winterforce, as you can probably tell they are not stock size. (28")

Which is actually good, since the speedo is now spot on. (have to plan these things)

Now who knows where someone can go offroading around here?

All I have found so far are old logging roads, not very exciting.

Why didn't you say something

Nice organization btw, I like.

Man! That would have been fun.

Ok I have to stop looking at the pictures, making me sad.

The places you will make it through that I have heard of are really the logging roads. Power lines and whatnot have been known to eat jeeps.

I think there are plans to make another loop that doesn't involve the ITS trails, which some of the roads that we did are. Just keep yourself updated on the threads and you should be good to go.

Alright will do.

So you are getting permission to run on those snowmobile trails?

Any idea why the "My Settings" page is not working?

I get:

But I will save that for later.

If you can see my avatar it might give you a clue on some of it.

all the road we used for the drive are open to the public, when there isn't snow on them...once the snow packs in only SOME of them become ITS...BUT if they are not specifically signed as ITS only....they are a road first.

welcome to the area...I am Rob...and Im a dirt addict... hang out with me long enough and you too will be a dirt addict.

oh and I live in Old Town...that's over there near lagrange...I could show you a road near where you are that would blow your mind! just let me know

I might have to take you up on that offer Rob.

Its a bit different coming out here, isn't really any state land to play on. (Unless you go south west)

Doesn't seem like there are any maps/listings for roads that offroaders can go on either.

ATV's, snowmobilers ect are, but not for trucks.

Some of the signage has images of trucks though...

I found a couple roads off 9 near Clifton, but I am guessing there are a LOT more.

Just need to be in the "know"

Also the Jeep clubs seem a bit...close minded, oh well.
