Yep we have a couple kitties as well, rescued them from an awful home.

Its amazing how fast you can turn them around, they are now pretty spoiled these days.

The vet visits burned a hole in my pocket though, glad that's over for now!

My other half started work up here, that's why we came.

I am still searching for work in my field here, haven't had much luck.

Yeah this weather is complete crap.

I am used to being buried by lake effect snow, although that part of MI is also lacking this year.

Feel ashamed to run my 86' snowblower with just a few inches (have to post that machine up later)

New tools are always a good thing.

So are 4 new heavy duty springs.

As the Subie sits now with stock wheels.

Will swap to the steelie/snows sometime soon if the weather cooperates.

Pull the struts out.

Put the 4 jaws on the coil, engage safety pins, compress spring by tightening the huge bolt.

Take strut apart, release tension on spring.

Grab new spring, repeat in reverse.

Wow, that seems like a nice tool. Thanks for explaining. Seems it would be a lot safer than those clamps you can rent at an Auto Zone or something.

Yeah I didn't want to use that style.

Even with this huge compressor these springs have some serious tension.

There is no second guessing with this tool, it won't let go.

An automotive coil spring blowing up in your face is the last thing you would want.
